The Literati Club's creative writing event, was held on a Saturday afternoon, on 30th June. It was the first event held by the Literati association for the academic year 2017-18, with the hopes of also organizing many more all throughout.
The participants for the events started coming in the assigned venue, which was in Sky View on the 10th floor of the Central Block. The timing assigned to the participants for appearing at the venue was 1200 hours and by 1215 all the participants were seated who registered beforehand were seated. A couple of teachers from the department of English, Dr Sweta Mukherjee and Mr. Abhilash Chandran, were present to see the logistics of the competition is well functioning and the students are able to handle all the participants well or not. The rules of the competition, about how the random assignment of the topics would work and the usage of any other resources, as mobiles phones, laptop or other books were prohibited for writing on the topic.
The participants were given thirty minutes to write on the topic, from 1220 hours to 1250. After all the volunteers of the competition checked that all the necessary information is written on the paper provided, that is name, class and contact details, the participants were allowed to leave whenever they finished their story. 
After collecting all the writing pieces the volunteers and the core members on the Literati team present there helped wind up the whole venue and thanked the participants for taking part in the very first event organized by the Literati Club in this academic year.
